New Account Numbers

You should have received a letter containing your new American Eagle FCU account number(s) the week of October 7.

If you didn't receive a letter,  please call the American Eagle Member Contact Center at 860.568.2020 or 800.842.0145 during business hours.

 

Checking Accounts

You may continue to use your Wellness FCU checks for a limited time. We encourage you to order new checks after November 12 at which time we will provide you with one complimentary order with your new account number. Please visit any branch location or contact us at 800.842.0145 to place an order.

NOTE FOR OVERDRAFT PRIVILEGE MEMBERS: Wellness FCU’s overdraft protection plan (Courtesy Pay) will no longer be available after conversion. American Eagle FCU’s Overdraft Protection plan will be activated on accounts that qualify.

Debit Cards

Wellness debit card holders should have received new Debit Cards as part of the merger.

Here are a few things to know:

  • You may activate your new American Eagle FCU Debit Card and start using it.
  • Don't forget to update the card number with merchants on Autopay or wherever your card information is stored to avoid declined transactions.
  • Don’t forget to load your new American Eagle FCU Debit Card to your Apple Pay®, Google Wallet™, or Samsung Pay®.
  • Download the SecurLOCK Equip mobile app to set controls on your card and monitor all activity using your mobile device.
  • Your new American Eagle FCU Debit Card gives back to the community. Each swipe makes a difference.

Existing direct deposits and scheduled payments will continue to be processed without interruption. However, anyone who is sending you a direct deposit or taking a scheduled payment should be notified of your new American Eagle FCU account number and routing number 211176891.

Important Things to Know:

  • Get Direct Deposit? You could get your payment up to two days early. There is no need to sign up. You will automatically receive your payment early. Member perks.
  • Starting November 12, please use your new account number and the American Eagle FCU routing number when setting up any new direct deposit or scheduled payment information.
  • Scheduled payments (ACH) to external payees (examples: Netflix, Eversource) will continue without interruption until further notice. For scheduled payments from your debit or credit card, please update the card number with merchants on Autopay or wherever your card information is stored to avoid declined transactions.
  • Employer direct deposits will no longer be automatically distributed to multiple accounts. Any recurring share to share transfer previously set up will not transition to American Eagle and will need to be re-established via American Eagle online or mobile banking.

Note: Members with previous American Eagle FCU Online Banking access, do not need to re-register. We have added your former Wellness accounts to your existing Online Banking profile.

American Eagle FCU Online Banking Setup
Three easy steps...

1. Locate

  • Navigate to americaneagle.org
  • Click "Login" in the top right-hand corner
  • Click "New User"
  • Agree to disclosure and click "Continue"
  • Enter the required information to complete your registration

2. Enroll/Register

You will need the following information to complete registration:

  • First and Last Name
  • Email Address
  • Social Security Number (9 digits)
  • American Eagle FCU Account Number and Account Type
  • Date of Birth
  • Mobile Phone Number
  • Driver’s License or State ID Card

You will be prompted to create a new User ID and password. If your User ID is already in use, please select another.

3. Login & Verification

  • Navigate to americaneagle.org and click on the Login button at the top of the page
  • Enter your User ID and password and select ‘Login’
  • You will be prompted to verify your secure access code. It is a 6-digit code that will be delivered to one of the phone numbers you currently have on file
  • Register your mobile device for biometrics
  • Begin using your new digital banking experience

American Eagle FCU Mobile Banking Setup

  1. Install AEFCU app (type AEFCU into search bar in your app store or link from below)
  2. Once installed, open app and click "Register"
  3. Agree to disclosure and click "Continue"
  4. Enter User ID and password or if you have not already done so, follow the steps to register for online banking above

NOTE: Mobile banking app uses the same credentials as online banking. 

Transfers within American Eagle FCU Online & Mobile Banking (How to Schedule)

  1. Login to Online Banking
  2. Select Accounts
  3. Select Transfers
  4. Make a Transfer

 

To access American Eagle FCU Bill Pay, you will need to register for Mobile and/or Online Banking.

 

The NEW American Eagle FCU Bill Pay System offers:

  • More user-friendly and intuitive interface in Online and Mobile Banking.
  • Funds come out of your account as soon as payments are processed, providing a more accurate current balance.
  • External Transfers - transfer funds to your account at an external institution.
  • Person-to-Person Payment -  allows you to pay anyone using a phone number or email address.  
  • Pay-a-Loan - allows you to pay an American Eagle FCU loan using funds from another financial institution. 
  • Pay-a-Bill – (functions like Wellness FCU Bill Pay) 
     

Pay a Person -Transfer funds to another financial institution

Note: you can only add an external account that you are named on.

  1. Click "Payment Center"
  2. Click "Pay a Person"
  3. Click "Transfer Funds"
  4. Click "Add Account"
  5. Search for your institution OR Add Account Manually
    1. Search for your financial institution
      1. You will enter their external financial institution credentials and select the accounts they would like to connect
      2. Accounts will be connected immediately
    2. Add Account Manually
      1. Click "Checking or Savings"
      2. Enter external account information
      3. Click "Submit and Close"
      4. Click "Click to Activate"
      5. Enter the deposits made to the external account, and click "Verify Deposits" OR
      6. You will need to enter the external financial institution credentials to connect. 

Adding a New Biller/Payee in Bill Pay

Note: Connecting to an Electronic Biller allows you to pay the biller, as well as receive eBills (if provided by the biller)

  1. Click on "Payment Center"
  2. Click on "Pay a Bill"
  3. Search for biller OR select from Top Billers

Enter your account details and click "Add/Save this biller"

 

Connecting to a Manual Biller/Payee

  1. Click on "Payment Center"
  2. Click on "Pay a Bill"
  3. Click on "Add Biller Manually"
  4. Enter the account details and click "Add/Save"

Beginning November 12, consumer loan (personal loans, auto loans, and home equity) payments can be made using American Eagle FCU Online and Mobile Banking, online at americaneagle.org, at any American Eagle FCU branch, by phone, or by mailing your payment. If payments are made from a Bill Payment service (not internal transfers), then the address and account must be updated to American Eagle FCU information to prevent any delays in posting with the Bill Pay service provider. You should have received a separate letter that contains your new loan account numbers.

PLEASE NOTE: Loan payment transfers/distributions that were previously set up will need to be re-established on American Eagle FCU's online banking.

 

How to Pay a Loan 

Note: Only consumer loans can be completed through Online Banking. This is a feature for a member to be able to pay a loan with American Eagle FCU using funds from a different Financial institution.

  1. Click "Payment Center"
  2. Click "Pay a Loan"
  3. Click "Pay My Bill"
  4. Select account(s) and click "Continue"
  5. Enter the amount, date, and payment method and click "Continue"
  6. Click "Pay" and you will receive a payment confirmation and an email to your inbox.

Members with an active Wellness FCU Credit Card received a letter in August 2024 with options for American Eagle FCU’s Visa Credit Card program. If you did not opt-out, a new card and PIN will arrive in the mail by November 9.

Important Things to Know:

  • American Eagle FCU Credit Cards may be activated and used starting November 10.
  • After you’ve activated your new Credit Card, please update the card number with merchants on Autopay or wherever your card information is stored.
  • Don’t forget to load your new AEFCU Credit Card to your Apple Pay®, Google Wallet™, or Samsung Pay®.
  • If you're receiving an American Eagle FCU Rewards Credit Card, ScoreCard rewards points will automatically be transferred to your new card by November 11.
  • Payments may be made via Online Banking, in-person at a branch, by telephone at 844.431.0819, or through the mail. Please see monthly statement for mailing address.
  • Download the SecurLOCK Equip mobile app to set controls on your card and monitor all activity using your mobile device.

Did you opt-out of an American Eagle FCU Credit Card? What you need to know:

  • Your Wellness FCU Visa balance will move to an inactive AEFCU account. You will receive a letter with instructions on how to find your account number.
  • Payments may be made in-person at a branch or by phone at 844.431.0819.

Our video teller is the perfect place to do your banking. You will speak to (and see) a live teller through video and be able to perform the transactions below.

After Video Teller hours, the Video Tellers function as an ATM with 24/7 access.

Setting Up eStatements
Starting November 12, members will need to re-enroll in American Eagle FCU eStatements. Please follow the easy steps below.

  1. Log into Online Banking (must be logged in on a desktop device)
  2. Click “Accounts” on top navigation bar
  3. Click “Documents” 
  4. Under the eStatements (Deposit Acconts) section, click “View Statements
  5. Enter your Name and Email in the boxes provided
  6. Click the “I Agree” box at the bottom of the screen to agree to the terms
  7. Click “Submit Information

Viewing eStatements

  1. Under the eStatements (Deposit Accounts) section, click "View Statements"
  2. Click on the statement you wish to view - 18 months of statements will populate.

Note: You can view the statements in PDF format and then print of download them.

Account Statements

Members will receive a Wellness FCU statement for October and a final statement for activity from November 1-8, 2024, in paper format. American Eagle FCU statements will be issued with activity from November 9, 2024, forward. There is no fee for paper statements; however, eStatements are most secure and convenient. Members with loans will start receiving a separate monthly loan statement in December 2024.

The Wellness FCU online banking and mobile app has been disabled.  Prior statements can be requested as needed from American Eagle FCU.

You will need to set them up in the American Eagle FCU bill payment system. See menu item 'Bill Pay' in the drop down menu on this page for instructions. 

Will Wellness FCU branches still be open?

The Wellness FCU branch located at 15 Van Dyke Ave. and the branch located inside Hartford Hospital will remain open with the same hours of service.  Former Wellness FCU staff will continue to staff the branches and service the members.

What will happen to the Wellness FCU name and what will my credit union be called?

Your credit union name is now American Eagle Financil Credit Union.

Are the phone numbers, email address or mailing address changing?

Yes, all phone numbers, email addresses, and mailing address are listed on this website.

How do I make my loan payment?

Yes, American Eagle FCU will mail your full-year 2024 tax statements in early 2025.

What will happen with my Auto GAP & Mechanical Repair Coverage (MRC)?

Your auto GAP & MRC will remain in effect.

What will happen to my CUNA Life Insurance?

Your CUNA Life Insurance will remain in effect. We will notify you if there are changes in how you pay your premium.

What happens to my CUNA Credit Life & Disability Loan Insurance?

Members with CUNA Credit Life & Disability loan insurance were mailed a letter in early September with changes. If you did not receive the letter and you have loan insurance, please contact American Eagle FCU Loan Phone Center Support 800.842.0145.

Will my personal information be protected with the account conversion?

Your personal information will be protected. American Eagle has high standards when it comes to protecting members identification.

When can I visit American Eagle FCU branches for service?

Starting November 12.

What will happen to my Visa Credit Card?

Your WFCU Visa Credit Card to a new AEFCU Platinum Rewards Visa® Credit Card.  Your current balance at the time of the transfer will be protected at your current rate. Future purchases on your AEFCU Credit Card will be subject to a variable rate as outlined in the disclosure. For more information, please review the frequently asked questions below.

Q&A about Your WFCU Visa® Credit Card

Will my Annual Percentage Rate (APR) be changing?
Existing balances — at the time of conversion — will be protected at your current WFCU account rate. If you opt-in to AEFCU’s terms and conditions to obtain a Visa® Platinum Rewards card, your APR on new purchases, cash advances, and balance transfers will be a variable rate, currently at 15.90%. 

Will my Visa® Account Number change?
Yes, your Visa account number will change. 
If you opted out of receiving an AEFCU card, you should make payments to the new account number to pay the remaining balance.
If you opted in to receive an AEFCU card, you should have your new card by November 9, 2024. You may activate and begin using your AEFCU card. Please be sure to update any recurring transactions (gym memberships, Internet service providers, satellite radio, etc.) or payments you have set up.

Will I get to keep my WFCU ScoreCard rewards points?
If you opted-in to receive an AEFCU card, your points will be transferred to your new account. 

Will my payment due date be changing?
Yes, your account cycle/statement date will be moving from the 13th to the 14th of each month starting November 14. Your payments will be due by 5:00 p.m. on the 12th of each month. Please review your statements carefully.

Will the address I send my payment to each month be changing?
Yes, your payment address will change. Beginning with the statement you receive in November, the payment address will be: American Eagle Financial Credit Union, PO Box 104, Brattleboro, VT 05302-0104.

If I don’t make my payment by the due date, will my payment be made automatically from my Checking or Savings account?
Automatic payments are available with your AEFCU account. This is a feature you must enroll in once an AEFCU account number has been assigned. Automatic payments will not be a feature of your account unless you enroll using one of the options listed in the next section.

Will my automatic transfers to my credit card still work?
No. Please update your automatic payments using one of the options below to ensure timely payments. 

Your self-service options (Not available for those who opt-out):

  • From an AEFCU Checking or Savings account – Set up a recurring transfer (fixed amount only) using AEFCU online banking.
  • From an external Checking or Savings account – Click the Details and Rewards link next to your Credit Card in your AEFCU online banking account to access eZCard and set up a recurring payment for the minimum amount due, the full statement balance, or a fixed amount.

Call or visit AEFCU to enroll in automatic payments from your AEFCU Checking or Savings account and choose to pay either a fixed amount, the minimum payment due, or the statement balance.

Can I get a higher credit limit on my Visa®?
Yes. AEFCU offers cards ranging from $500 to $30,000, depending upon your qualifications. You may apply for an AEFCU Visa® credit line increase by phone, fax, mail, online, or in person.

After I get my AEFCU Visa® Platinum Rewards, can I change to a Visa® Platinum or Signature card?                            
Yes, AEFCU offers a variable rate Visa® Platinum card, currently as low as 15.15% APR and a variable rate Visa Signature card, currently as low as 16.15% APR. You may apply online, over the phone, or at any AEFCU branch. If you’re approved, your existing balance will move to the new account.
