How to register for e-statements

  • Log into Online Banking.
  • Select “Documents” from the top red menu bar.
  • Select “View Documents” under the e-statements section.
  • Enter your name and email, select "I Agree", and click "Submit." 

e-Documents

Enroll for e-documents for electronic access certain year-end tax forms and other financial documents in Online Banking. e-documents provide faster and more efficient delivery of PDF documents vs. paper documents delivered through the U.S. mail.

How to register for e-documents

  • Log into Online Banking.
  • Select “Documents” from the top red menu bar (previously labeled “e-Statements”).
  • Select “View Documents” under the Documents section.
  • Select the "Online Only" option on the left side of the screen and select the "Save" button.

Important information about e-statements and e-documents

  • You will receive an email notification when new e-statements/e-documents are available in Online Banking.
  • All e-statements/e-documents contain the same information as the paper documents.
  • You may view, save, or print e-statements/e-documents as in PDF format.
  • e-statements/e-documents are available for 18 months from the issue date.
  • Once enrolled for e-statements/e-documents, you will no longer receive a paper copy. You may change back-and-forth between electronic and paper documents at any time.
  • Only the Primary account owner will have access to e-statements/e-documents in Online Banking.

Frequently asked Questions

What is an e-Statement?

An e-Statement is an electronic version of your monthly account statement and will be viewable using Adobe Acrobat Reader. It will look the same as the paper statement.

Is there a cost for e-Statements?

No. This service is no cost to all members of American Eagle Financial Credit Union.

What account history is available with e-Statements?

You will be able to get up to 18 months of account history going forward from the time you enroll for the service including savings, checking, club, certificate, IRA, money market, and loans. Mortgage and Visa history is not currently available through e-Statements but is available through online banking.

Can I get both a paper and e-Statement?

You will receive a monthly paper statement until you sign up for e-statements. Once you enroll you will no longer receive a paper statement. However, you may cancel the e-Statement service at any time, which will reinstate your monthly paper statement. You may print your e-Statement if you choose.

How is my e-Statement and personal privacy safeguarded?

AEFCU uses 128-bit encryption technology and personal password protection to ensure that your account information remains private and secure while you are online. e-Statements are secured with multiple layers of encryption, firewalls, and screening. The security measures used exceed industry standards in protecting the safety and confidentiality of your financial information.

How do I enroll for e-Statements?

Log onto your online banking account and click the “e-Statements” tab. Then follow the instructions to sign up. You will immediately be able to view up to 18 months of account history going forward. Each month, you will receive an email when your e-Statement is available. 

If I sign up for e-Statements will I still receive my Mortgage and Visa statements?

Yes, Mortgage and Visa statements will continue to be mailed separately. You can also stop your paper Visa statement by signing up for Visa e-Statements.

When will I receive my monthly e-Statement?

Early each month we will send an e-mail alerting you that your e-Statement is available. Simply click on the link in the e-mail and log in through Online Banking. e-Statements are usually available one week earlier than paper statements.

What happens if I change my email address?

You can change your e-mail address at any time through the e-Statement Profile Screen. Simply click on the "Profile" link from the main e-Statements page and enter your new e-mail address. Click on the Save Changes button.

How do I access my monthly e-Statement?

As long as you have a valid e-mail address and Internet access, it’s simple to retrieve your monthly e-Statement:

  1. Log onto Online Banking and select "Documents" from the top menu bar.
  2. Click on "e-statements" 

Can I save my e-Statement to a file?

Yes, your e-Statement may be viewed, saved on your computer as a text or PDF file, and printed at your convenience.

Do e-Statements require a separate password from AEFCU Online Banking?

No, simply log onto Online Banking and click an the e-Statements tab to access up to 13 months of statements.

Can I cancel my e-Statements and return to paper statements?

Yes. You may cancel your e-Statements and return to getting a paper statement by mail. Simply go to the Login Profile screen within e-Statements and click the "Delete e-Statement" button.
