VISA Platinum Rewards

The Visa Platinum Rewards is our preferred card with the most benefits.

New Visa Platinum Rewards cardholders get a special 0% APR for 12 months on balance transfers, and 2.99% APR on purchases and cash advances. Offer valid for new Visa cardholders only. Existing AEFCU Visa cardholders are not eligible. 0% Annual Percentage Rate and 2.99% Annual Percentage Rate is good for 12 months from the account opening date. After 12 months, the promotional rate will revert to the appropriate pricing tier based on the individual's credit score. Balance transfer fee is $10 or 4% of balance, whichever is greater. Maximum fee is $120. The approved credit limit of the card will be based on our normal underwriting policy and procedures. Offer subject to change.

Member Rewards
Put your card to work and let it pay you for a change. Our Member Rewards program lets you earn 1 point for every $1 dollar spent on qualified net purchases. You also earn bonus points when you become a new cardholder. Watch your points add up and get posted daily to your account on the Member Rewards website. The points you earn may be redeemed in five categories:

  • Cash back (as a credit to your Visa account)
  • Travel (air, hotel, cruise, car rental, vacation packages, and more)
  • Retail Merchandise
  • Gift cards (dining, shopping, and more)
  • Charitable Donations

When you are ready to redeem your points, simply visit the Member Rewards website to redeem your points. You can also redeem points through the Member Rewards Contact Center at 866.244.8861. See Terms and Conditions for program details.

Visa Platinum

e-Statements

Rather than getting a paper bill in the mail each month, you can access your monthly Visa billing statement online through the Credit Union web site. You will get an e-mail notification when your monthly billing statement is ready. Download, save, and print up to 24 months of new Visa activity. Review purchases, payments, available credit, and more. e-Statements are safe, secure, convenient, and environmentally friendly. If you change your mind, you may un-enroll and return to getting a monthly paper bill.

1. Log into online banking
2. On your credit card account line, select “More Info”
4. Select “Go Paperless” from the quick links menu

Balance Transfers

Check the interest rates on your other credit cards and loans, you could be paying too much. You may be able to transfer balances from other higher-rate credit cards and loans to your Credit Union Visa card. Call Cardholder Services at 800.654.7728, or complete and return the Visa Balance Transfer Form to any Credit Union office.

Visa payment by Automatic Transfer

Pay your monthly Visa bill without writing a check. With our Visa Payment by Automatic Transfer service, you can sign up to have payments made from your Checking or Savings account to pay your Visa bill. You may even authorize us to pay the Visa bills for other people you designate such as your spouse and children.

Choose the Visa automatic transfer payment option that's best for you:

  • Minimum Payment: Pay 2.5% of the total monthly balance or $25.00, whichever is greater.
  • Fixed Payment: Pay a fixed monthly amount as specified on your enrollment form. This amount must be greater than your minimum payment. If the total monthly balance is less than the fixed payment, the monthly balance will be paid in full and avoid finance charges.
  • Full Payment: Pay the total monthly balance in full and avoid finance charges.

Complete and return the Visa Payment by Automatic Transfer Form and return it to any Credit Union office. You will be notified by mail when the transfer service will begin. Each month on your statement due date, we will automatically transfer your pre-authorized payment from your Savings or Checking account and pay your Visa bill. A record of the transaction will appear on your Visa bill and your Savings or Checking statement.

Payment Insurance

You may choose to enroll in our optional Visa Payment Protection Plan. This insurance program is designed to protect you and your family in three ways: unemployment, disability, and death.

  • Unemployment - Makes a monthly payment to your credit card should the primary cardholder be involuntarily unemployed for more than 30 days.
  • Disability - Makes a monthly benefit payment should the primary cardholder become totally disabled for more than 30 days.
  • Death - Pays off your account balance up to $10,000 should you die while insured.

The cost for this protection is only 59 cents per $100 of your ending monthly balance. If you don’t have a balance, there is no charge. Contact a Credit Union representative for details.

Authorized Users

Visa cardholders may designate one or more authorized users on their account. An authorized user will be issued a separate VISA® card in their name with the main cardholder's account number. Monthly statements will always be sent to the main cardholder. The Visa cardholder will have to sign a Visa Authorized User form stating that they will be solely responsible for all usage by their designated authorized users.
