American Eagle Financial Credit Union (AEFCU) donated $2,500 to the Diaper Bank of Connecticut, which will support the organization’s efforts to provide low-income families in New Haven and Hartford counties with needed infant and toddler diapers through the state’s Diaper Bank Distribution Network.

“Whether it be monetary donations or employee volunteering, American Eagle is always searching for ways to give back to the communities where our members and employees live and work,” said Dean Marchessault, President, and CEO of AEFCU. “The Diaper Bank of Connecticut provides tremendous and needed services to families in our home state, and collaborating with this organization and supporting their Diaper Bank Distribution Network will not only allow us to continue our mission of being a community-minded credit union, but it will help keep local babies and young children safe, healthy and happy.”

“As we continue to evolve to meet the growing and changing needs of our community, we are grateful American Eagle Financial Credit Union is helping to make our work possible,” said Janet Stolfi Alfano, Executive Director of the Diaper Bank of Connecticut. “Their generosity will make a huge difference in the daily lives of so many people in great need.”

Diaper need is real in Connecticut, as one in three families struggle to afford diapers and keep their babies clean, dry, and healthy. Through the 60+ social organizations within the Diaper Bank Distribution Network, the Diaper Bank delivers an average of 300,000 diapers to 6,400 Connecticut families each month free of charge.
