Troubleshooting for Quicken and Quickbooks

What kind of computer equipment and browser software do I need?
For a secure system running Windows 95C/98/NT SP6/2000/ME/XP or Macintosh OS 8/9/X operating systems, we recommend using the following browsers that support 128-bit encryption:

How secure is 24-Hour Online Banking?
For your protection, we use 128-bit Secured Socket Layer (SSL) strong encryption during your online sessions. Encryption is a sophisticated way of scrambling all information transmitted online before it leaves your computer, so that all information, including passwords and online bill payments are completely unreadable by unauthorized third parties. No transactional information will be transmitted without first being encrypted.

We require that your web browser support 128-bit encryption because it is more effective than 40-bit encryption. While 40-bit encryption might be fine for low risk transactions, it is not adequate for protecting financial transactions.

When you supply data via the Internet, it is encrypted before it travels. We decode and process the data at our end. When we provide data to you, it is encrypted at our end, and sent to you. When you receive it, your browser decodes the information and displays it to you.

Also, your member number and password protect your account. No one can access your account without knowing your member number and your password. You can also change your password at anytime.

Is there a fee to use 24-Hour Online Banking?
No, there is no fee for using 24-Hour Online Banking or Online Bill Pay. However, there may be fees related to a particular transaction. For instance, if you place a stop payment or a check reorder, you will be charged the applicable fee, just as if you submitted the request in person or by phone.

How do I enroll in American Eagle's Bill Payment Service?
Login to 24-Hour Online banking and click on the Bill Pay button and follow the on screen prompts.

How many transfers can I perform in 24-Hour Online Banking?
There is a limit of six automatic, pre authorized or third party transfers per month to or from a savings account per The Federal Reserve’s Regulation D.

What is the difference between "current balance" and "available balance"?
The current balance is the total amount in your account that includes deposits and debits listed in your account history.

The available balance is the amount of your current balance that is currently available for withdrawal. The available balance shown may not reflect any outstanding authorizations, preauthorized withdrawals or deductions that have not been posted, deposits still subject to verification, outstanding checks, funds that have been placed on hold or other withdrawals, payments or charges. Please refer to the separate Savings Disclosure Agreement regarding the Credit Union’s policy on Funds Availability.

Can I access or view my family accounts?
You can access your family accounts, although each member number must have its own password.

If I request a stop payment on a check, when will it occur?
Requests received before 4:00 p.m. will be processed that day, requests received after 4:00 p.m. will be processed on our next business day.

Why should I clear my browser’s cache, and how do I do this?
The majority of web browsers store local copies of images and web pages you view on the Internet to improve performance. Since these local copies could be potentially viewed even after your online session is over, we strongly suggest that you clear (delete) your cache file after each session. For information on how to clear your browser’s cache, refer to the help file which came with your browser.

How can I keep my account information confidential when using 24-Hour Online Banking?
To avoid unauthorized access to your information, you should use all reasonable security measures including, but not limited to the following:
  1. Do not reveal your password to anyone else.
  2. Avoid selecting password(s) based on personal information that may be determined or accessible by others such as names, birthdays, addresses or that are similar to your other existing passwords.
  3. Avoid keeping written records of your password.
  4. Do not leave your computer unattended when connected to 24-Hour Online Banking.
  5. After completing any activities on 24-Hour Online Banking, end the session by using the Log Out button on the toolbar.
  6. After completing any activities on 24-Hour Online Banking, you should secure or erase any files that may exist in a non encrypted state in your web services cache or in your computer’s memory to prevent unauthorized access.
  7. Do not send any personal account information by Internet e-mail, as messages sent in this manner are sent outside areas of our web site using encryption.
Will there be any time when I can not access 24-Hour Online Banking?
