e-Statements
What is an e-Statement?
An e-Statement is an electronic version of your monthly account statement and
will be viewable using Adobe Acrobat Reader. It will look the same as the paper
statement.
Is there a cost for
e-Statements?
No. This service is no cost to all members of American Eagle Federal Credit
Union.
What account history is
available with e-Statements?
You will be able to get up to13 months of account history going forward from the
time you enroll for the service including savings, checking, club, certificate,
IRA, money market, and loans. Mortgage and Visa history is not currently
available through e-Statements.
Can I get both a paper
and e-Statement?
You will receive a monthly paper statement until you sign up for
e-statements. Once you enroll you will no longer receive a paper statement.
However, you may cancel the e-Statement service at any time, which will
reinstate your monthly paper statement. You may print your e-Statement if you
choose.
How is my e-Statement and
personal privacy safeguarded?
AEFCU uses 128-bit encryption technology and personal password protection to
ensure that your account information remains private and secure while you are
online. e-Statements are secured with multiple layers of encryption, firewalls,
and screening. The security measures used exceed industry standards in
protecting the safety and confidentiality of your financial information.
How do I enroll for
e-Statements?
Before you enroll for e-Statements, you must receive at least one paper
statement by mail. It takes only minutes to sign up:
1.
Click here
to enroll.
2. Read and accept the Disclosure/Agreement
statement.
3. Enter the requested information to verify your
member status.
4. Create a Login ID and Password (case sensitive)
and enter an e-mail address.
5. Create a security question and answer for
password protection.
6. Click “Proceed To Verification.”
Or, log onto your Online
Banking account and click the “e-Statements” tab, click on the link and follow
directions to sign up.
A verification email will be
sent to you. You must open this e-mail, click the e-Statements link, and log in
within 48 hours to complete the registration process. You will receive your
first e-Statement beginning with the next statement cycle. If you do not respond
to the verification email, you will continue to receive paper statements.
If I sign up for
e-Statements will I still receive my Mortgage and Visa statements?
Yes, Mortgage and Visa statements will continue to be mailed separately.
When will I receive my
monthly e-Statement?
Early each month we will send an e-mail alerting you that your e-Statement
is available. Simply click on the link provided in the e-mail or log in through
the Credit Union web site or go directly to Online Banking. e-Statements are
usually available one week earlier than paper statements.
What happens if I change
my email address?
You can change your e-mail address at any time through the e-Statement Login
Profile Screen. Enter your password and your new e-mail address. Click on the
Save Changes button. If we do not have your e-mail address on record, you will
be mailed a paper statement until a valid e-mail address is provided. You are
still enrolled for e-Statements even if your e-mail address changes.
How do I access my
monthly e-Statement?
As long as you have a valid e-mail address and Internet access, it’s simple to
retrieve your monthly e-Statement:
1. Click on the link provided in your e-mail notification, or go to
www.americaneagle.org or through
your Online Banking account and click
“e-Statements.”
2. Enter your Log in ID and Password you created at
enrollment.
Can I save my e-Statement to a file?
Yes, your e-Statement may be viewed, saved on your computer as a text or PDF
file, and printed at your convenience.
Do e-Statements require a separate password from AEFCU
Online Banking?
Yes, for enrollment the e-Statement system does need a separate password from
Online Banking. Your e-Statement password must be a minimum of six characters
and a maximum of 20 characters (letters or numbers). Your password is case
sensitive and must start with a letter. However, once enrolled e-Statements can
be accessed through Online Banking without having to use your separate
e-Statement password.
Can I cancel my e-Statements and return to paper
statements?
Yes. You may cancel your e-Statements and return to getting a paper
statement by mail. Simply go to the Log in Profile screen and click the “Delete
e-Statement” button.
