News & Events American Eagle Federal Credit Union Makes Record Donation and Volunteer Effort to Support United Way American Eagle Federal Credit Union raised a total of $35,749 for the 2007 United Way Campaign. In addition, 19 employees volunteered a total of 152 hours to work at the Living in Safe Alternatives (L.I.S.A.) group home in Plainville, Connecticut.
According to John Conant, Senior Vice President and Chief Financial Officer at American Eagle Federal Credit Union 62% of our employee population, participated in this year’s United Way Campaign. During November and December, many employees took part in a “Wear Jeans on Fridays” fundraising event. This fundraising activity raised a total of $2,380 during the first three Fridays in November
The American Eagle Federal Credit Union’s Board of Directors recently approved a donation of $10,000 to support the United Way’s community campaign that provides funding for United Way organizations in Central Connecticut.
“The United Way committee will continue to raise additional funds for the United Way through various fundraising events during the rest of the year,” Conant added.
American Eagle Federal Credit Union is a not-for-profit financial cooperative based in East Hartford, Connecticut. It is the largest community credit union in Connecticut with assets of $971 million, 95,000 members, and 18 retail offices.
