Member Switch Kit
Switching to American Eagle’s Checking Is Simple!

Print and complete the switch kit form. |

Open your accounts with us.
In person: Bring completed switch kit form with your driver’s license and your initial deposit of just $5 to any American Eagle branch.
By mail: Mail completed switch kit form and your initial deposit of just $5 to the Credit Union: Attention Switch Kit Promotion, AEFCU, P.O. Box 280128, East Hartford, CT 06128. We also suggest you include a copy of your driver’s license.
What happens next…
Upon receiving your completed switch kit form, we will process the documents to open the accounts and services that you have selected. You will receive a letter from the Credit Union regarding the specifics of your new accounts in five to seven business days. |

Move your direct deposit and automatic withdrawals.
Once you receive your letter regarding your new accounts, you will need to move your direct deposit(s) and automatic
withdrawal(s).
- Use the Direct Deposit form to notify your employer and other companies or financial institutions that deposit funds automatically into your account of the switch. (Example: Social Security, Government, investments, etc.)
- Use the Automatic Withdrawal form to notify all companies that automatically withdraw money from your old checking account. (Example: mortgage, investments, insurance, loans, utilities, health clubs, newspaper, telephone, cable, credit cards, etc.)

| Step 4: |
Close your old accounts.
Once your Credit Union accounts are opened, you will need to close your old accounts. Use the Close Account form. Before you do, please be sure you have done the following:
- Waited until all your checks have cleared your old checking account.
- Verified that your direct deposits and automatic payments have been switched over to your new Credit Union account.**
- Destroyed any remaining old checks and canceled your ATM/debit cards and online banking services.

Get your $50.†
Contact the Credit Union by phone, mail, or in person when one of the following is completed:
- Checking account at other financial institution is closed (bank receipt).
- Direct deposit(s) have been transferred.
- Automatic withdrawal(s) have been transferred.
We will deposit $50 into your savings account! |

Switch will be verified through one of the following methods: Checking account at other financial institution is closed (proof of a bank receipt), direct deposit(s) have been transferred to AEFCU or automatic withdrawal(s) have been transferred to AEFCU. Limit of one $50 bonus per new checking account per member. Bonus to be deposited into the member’s savings account. We may report the value of any premium to the IRS through a form 1099.
