MEMBER ACCOUNTS REPRESENTATIVE


PART TIME:
Monday/Wednesday 10-2, Thursday 11-6, Friday 11-4:30, Saturday 8:30-12:30

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Process member transactions: check cashing, process deposits and withdrawals transfer funds, pay on loan and VISA accounts, issue travelers checks, savings bonds, open and close accounts, etc.
  • Obtain adequate member identification.
  •  Ensure receipt of accurate and complete vouchers.  Document monies received and disbursed.
  •  Advise prospective members of the advantages of Credit Union membership.
  • Sell and cross sell on the advantages of Credit Union new and existing services.
  • Respond to questions and problems relative to member accounts and/or refer members to appropriate department for handling.
  • Perform end of day balancing.
  • Order or return monies to vault to maintain authorized starting cash fund.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS:
  • High school diploma or GED and 1(+) year teller or similar experience.
  • Customer service orientation - quick turnaround of member transaction.
  • Analytical thinking - ability to assess situations accurately and respond correctly, resolving member complaints to the satisfaction of the Credit Union and the member whenever possible.
  • Sales ability and persuasiveness - ability to cross-sell products and services.  Knowledgeable in all retail products and services.
  • Organizational awareness - thorough understanding of Credit Union philosophy.
  • Communication - clearly conveys information and ideas to individuals in a manner that helps them understand and retain the message. Effective oral communication; proactively shares information.
