Current Openings COLLECTION SUPERVISOR
BASIC FUNCTION: Responsible for supervising the Collection Department providing leadership for employees, promoting employee development and fostering a team environment. Ensures efficient operations through prompt, quality support of the Collections function. Provides daily supervision of direct reports and the on-going review of department activities.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES: Directly supervises employees in the Collection Department. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, coaching, developing, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems through a process of on-going communication.

CORE COMPETENCIES:
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE: Associate's degree or equivalent from two-year College and three to five years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
LANGUAGE SKILLS: Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports and business correspondence. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, members, attorneys and vendors
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS: Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest and percentages.
REASONING ABILITY: Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS: None required.
OTHER SKILLS and ABILITIES: Ability to operate a personal computer with a high level of proficiency in such software applications as word processing, spreadsheets, Internet and Email. Ability to operate a fax, calculator and copier.
